The lore video for Nadirim, a unique F2P browser game currently under development by Digital Reality and WebFunTeam, presents for the first time the back-story of the Arabian-themed game. The official Nadirim website has been completely revised for the release of the first video.Lore - how it all began:
Hundreds of years ago, the Empire of the Eternal Sun was an inhospitable desert, and the people wandered in small nomadic tribes, seeking food and water. But one day, the young thief Anwar found a battered oil lamp in which was imprisoned Nadir, the Lord of the Void and the oldest and most powerful of all djinns. As powerful as Nadir was, not even he could disregard the ancient pact between men and djinns, and he was forced to grant his rescuer a wish. The thief asked the djinn for an empire in which the people lacked nothing, and thus the caliphate arose from nothing, and great prosperous cites full of gigantic water fountains and libraries were born from the Void. After Nadir had created the caliphate, he vanished without a trace. The former thief Anwar became caliph and ruled nobly and justly for a hundred years. But Anwar did not know the background of the pact between men and djinns: without an equal trade, Nadir could take back the granted wish.
The djinn returned after 100 years to destroy the caliphate, but it had been altered by the people, and so Nadir could no longer take back the wish. Therefore, he created a demon army, which attacked the peaceful caliphate every night. Night after night, the caliph and his companions were beaten back again and again in battles against the dark and mighty warriors of the djinn.
Finally, Anwar sacrificed his life to stop the Sun at the zenith in order to grant eternal daylight to the caliphate and imprison Nadir’s servants in the darkness. The Empire of the Eternal Sun was born. But after a while, people forgot. They turned against one another in the endless battle for influence and power, and the sun began slowly to set. The caliph’s female descendants created the secret order of Inama and called for heroes who were to save the world from Nadir.
The individual character classes in the game represent the virtues of Anwar: a nomad who became a thief (Ruffian), but sought knowledge (Sage), which made him a prosperous ruler (Caravan Master) who fought Nadir on behalf of his subjects (Warrior).
