Dragon Nest is the next step in fantasy MMO games from Nexon, publishers of the acclaimed free action-MMORPG Vindictus. In fact, both games can be compared for their exciting combat, but as far as visuals go, they couldn’t be farther from each other. While Vindictus offers a fantasy world with realistic traits, Dragon Nest shows us cute and extremely detailed anime characters.
The Eternity Engine powers Dragon Nest, a game developed by elements that previously worked on franchises such as Ninety Nine Nights and Kingdom Under Fire. Their knowledge is seen in things such as the dynamic combat, randomly generated dungeons and beautiful game world. There are ocasional cutscenes to give a cinematic feel to the game, something that is still lacking in most free-to-play MMORPGs, and the four character classes are somewhat generic but really well designed, if you like this sort of graphics.
Dragon Nest deserves to be played by any fan of the genre, since it’s clearly an above-average attempt at a quality MMORPG. The dynamic combat is a breath of fresh air that should be used in more and more RPGs.
