Kal Online was released in 2004 and tried to offer players a new kind of oriental fantasy free MMORPG. Most games are based on western fantasy, science fiction and other kinds of themes, but Kal Online focuses on oriental culture and feel, something that a few years later has become somewhat the norm for free MMO games. The story is based on an oriental myth of the 74th war.
