Crytek just revealed Arena of Fate, a free-to-play MOBA game that is described by the studio as an “action-packed online multiplayer game”. Arena of Fate features 5v5 battles with a mix of historical and fantasy characters, including Frankenstein, Joan of Arc, Little Red Riding Hood, Jack the Ripper, Baron Münchhausen, Robin Hood, Nikola Tesla and more.
This game runs on the CryEngine, is in development at Crytek Black Sea for PC and consoles and the early access beta is expected this summer. The official website has a few more details and you can sign up for the upcoming beta. The announcement teaser is below, but we're left wondering if it's a third-person affair such as SMITE or a top-down isometric view just like Dota 2 and League of Legends.
