Black Desert Online mobile version in development

Pearl Abyss relaunches Black Desert in Russia

It was to expect that Black Desert Online would become more than just a single MMO game, judging by all the hype and likely success that Daum Games is getting from it. According to some rumors straight from Asian gaming sites (thanks MMOCulture), a mobile version of Black Desert is in development.

All that we know so far is that the content from the PC version to be adapted for this mobile version is still being considered, and a new in-house engine is going to be used. Developer Pearl Abyss hopes that the game will release in 2017.

There is no word on the business model, but we have a prediction: free for everyone in Asia, and buy-to-play with all the same micro-transactions in the west. Yes, we're still bitter about the B2P western launch of Black Desert Online, we're sure you can tell.
