After the surprise announcement of Command & Conquer as free to play and online platform, Bioware Victory general manager John Van Caneghem now revealed to PC Gamer that Generals 2 will launch without a single player campaign. Instead, the focus of the game will be co-op and PvP.
Caneghem doesn’t limit the game’s options however, adding that if the community demand is high enough (how high is a mystery for now), Electronic Arts will add other modes, including a full campaign. But for now, Generals 2 will mostly be focused on multiplayer and eSports.
The Generals setting is just the first of the new Command & Conquer online platform, with Tiberium and Red Alert as well as some others to follow.
