The Dauntless Alpha test is coming and Phoenix Labs has just opened the alpha sign-ups form, which asks players a few questions such as your top 5 favorite games, geographic location and just how good your rig is – you have to upload a DxDiag file, so you can’t lie your way into the test.
The alpha invites will be sent over the coming months with the first test planned for late April, and you can contribute to the development of Dauntless in a real way. For example, 500 people may be tasked to fight only Drask for a day so the devs get a proper way to balance this clash. A new weapon or armour set may be unlocked to see how it performs in the heat of battle.
Obviously, there will be bugs, glitches and unfinished content, and the testers won’t be able to stream or share your opinion with anyone, as an NDA will be in effect – you’ll be able to do so later this year.
