End of Nations: 30 lay-offs at Petroglyph

Petroglyph, the Las Vegas-based studio which is developing the free-to-play MMORTS End of Nations, reportedly axed 30 jobs. Some sources reported this and according to GI.Biz, Petroglyph game designer Adam Stevens had this to say on Twitter: “Well, it appears this Winter break will be extended indefinitely. Layoffs at Petroglyph. Looking like I’ll be Leaving Las Vegas.”

The End of Nations open beta was recently postponed “for further polishing and improvement”, but no new date was revealed. The game doesn’t seem to be in a bad situation though, since any rumors of cancelation have been dismissed.
