F2P incoming? WildStar on clearance at Best Buy

Let the rumor mill continue. After yesterday's report of major Australian retailers taking WildStar off their shelves, now it's time for Best Buy to mark the game as ‘Clearance', something that could probably be just a coincidence. On the other hand, it could be another indication that this MMORPG is actually going through the process of a business model change, either to free-to-play or buy-to-play, as it recently happened with The Elder Scrolls Online.

So either we're going through some amazing coincidences, or NCsoft has deemed that it's time for WildStar to move on and join other subscription-based MMORPGs that turned free-to-play with some degree of success, such as TERA, Star Wars: The Old Republic or Rift, among others.
