Bigpoint and Square Enix just announced that the Gameglobe closed beta is now live. The lucky few who have access to the beta are already enjoying themselves… that is, if you consider building games and testing them, polishing the game world and balancing gameplay to be your idea of FUN.
For those who don’t know, Gameglobe is a free-to-play (and build) browser-based game (maker) where players may realize their visions and create their own games. The examples shown in the trailer are just cute, with characters that could easily become mascots of a console. Graphical quality seems to be appropriate and gameplay diversity also looks interesting, from simple platformers to action adventures, space sims and more. It’s like LittleBigPlanet but on PC… and without sackboy.
Those who wish to enter the next closed beta should sign up at www.gameglobe.com. Those who wish to let others do the hard work and then play their games just have to sit tight… but you’re not that kind of person, are you?
