Ghost in the Shell Online confirmed for US, Europe and more regions

Ghost in the Shell: First Assault is shutting down

Nexon America has announced plans to launch the free-to-play shooter Ghost in the Shell Online in several regions. We recently found out that this game is going to launch in the US first, but now it's officially confirmed that Ghost in the Shell Online is going to release in Europe, Australia and Latin America, as well as Korea, where the game is being developed by Neople.

Ghost in the Shell Online: First Connection is a first-person shooter based on the popular anime, and characters will have various skills such as speed, support or stealth, among others. A skill share system allows players to share their abilities with other nearby players. The game will include PvE and PvP modes.

Nexon has a very strong catalog for the following years. Besides Ghost in the Shell Online, it includes two more shooters: Splash Damage's Dirty Bomb and Gears of War creator Cliff Bleszinski's Bluestreak, in development at his new studio Boss Key Productions. But Nexon also has the charming Peria Chronicles, the ambitious MapleStory 2, side-scrolling brawler Closers Online, cute retro MMORPG Tree of Savior and a few others, so it's shaping up to be a great year for the Korean studio.
