The online FPS Overwatch wasn't the only announcement during BlizzCon 2014. Blizzard also revealed more about the free-to-play MOBA Heroes of the Storm, including the closed beta date and upcoming characters.
Heroes of the Storm is currently in alpha and the closed beta will begin January 15. The open beta is scheduled for 2015. Our wish is also coming true, since we hoped for Blizzard to add The Lost Vikings to Heroes of the Storm, and the studio is doing so, as well as adding new battlegrounds, skins and more, as you can see in the trailer below.
Heroes of the Storm is a MOBA starring characters from the Blizzard catalog, meaning that you'll play with heroes from World of Warcraft, Diablo, Starcraft, The Lost Vikings… and eventually more, such as Overwatch?
