Master X Master opens closed beta sign-ups, begins April 6 with City of Heroes’ Statesman

NCsoft has finally revealed that Master X Master is about to enter closed beta, after a few alpha tests. The closed beta will begin on April 6 and end April 27 (you can sign up for the beta here), which should give anyone who grabs hold of a key three weeks of blasting around with newcomers and popular characters from NCsoft franchises such as Lineage, Guild Wars 2, Blade & Soul, WildStar, Aion and City of Heroes. Yes, that City of Heroes, the one that was closed on November 2012 and has originated quite a few fan projects including Ship of Heroes, City of Titans, Heroes & Villains or RedSide. The question is how many of these will actually go into an advanced state of development and enter a proper beta.

Anyway, Statesman is the hero of Paragon City, of the City of Heroes MMORPG, and he will now continue the fight on Master X Master – he will be available on the upcoming MXM closed beta test. Consider this a tribute to the City of Heroes franchise, as NCSoft West Senior Brand Manager Sean Corcoran said.

The MXM beta will include a new build of the game with improved visuals, new features, and a near-complete roster of Masters and game features. It will feature content such as PvE stages, minigames, PvP modes and more.
