Neverwinter is about to get the tenth free expansion for PC in August 2016. Named Storm King’s Thunder, it will be later released on Xbox One and PlayStation 4. Besides the story content, the expansion also includes a new tier of dungeon and additional high level equipment.
“Similar to the Storm King’s Thunder adventure coming from Dungeons & Dragons later this year, Neverwinter: Storm King’s Thunder sees giants invade the world of Neverwinter. Adventurers will travel north to Bryn Shander – the heart of the Ten Towns – to investigate the sudden presence of frost giants in the region. Expansion content will bring players through three new adventure zones as they team up with popular characters from Dungeons & Dragons lore, including Catti-brie, Wulfgar and Harshnag.”
Perfect World and Cryptic also announced that Neverwinter is coming to PlayStation 4 in summer 2016, and it will include the previous nine expansions that were released on PC. It will use console features such as Party Chat and features controls optimized for the DualShock 4. A PlayStation Plus subscription isn't required to play this MMO.
