Pangaea: New World is a new post-apocalyptic STALKER-like MMORPG

It looks like Escape From Tarkov isn't the only upcoming MMO that will remind you of STALKER – LVR Studio, hailing from Kyrgyzstan, is working on the free-to-play MMOFPS/TPS Pangaea: New World. This game has already been greenlit on Steam in less than a day and the developers are admittedly huge fans of Fallout, S.T.A.L.K.E.R., EVE Online and Lineage, which sounds like some really good inspiration material there. Pangaea is about survival in a post-apocalyptic world and is in development for PC, Mac, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Running on Unreal Engine 4, Pangaea is planned to release at the end of 2016 and promises us a complex ecosystem where our actions will have real impact on the fauna and flora. We should also expect dynamic quests, a rich role-playing system, an anomaly system, and co-op opportunities with groups of up to 30 players capable of taking on some quests.

The trailers show a game that can look daunting when you're navigating those barely lit bunkers, but sprawling when you're traveling across the huge landscape that is divided into biomes with unique fauna and flora. It will take us a while to get our heads around the name – it sounds a lot like the golf simulator Pangya – but apart from that, let's hope the game fulfills its promises and offers all STALKER fans the true MMORPG they've been waiting for a while now.
