The dreaded “unforeseen consequences” happened and the Planetside 2 beta didn’t launch Monday or Tuesday as expected. However, the delay won’t be too substantial, so eager players should keep those trigger fingers at the ready.
Once again through Twitter, Sony Online Entertainment’s president John Smedley confirmed the delay, setting the new date for the beta at “Friday or Monday”. Smedley said that the team is “working like crazy” but they need to “polish some stuff and test it before we let in a massive number of people.”
Planetside 2 is one of the most anticipated free-to-play MMO shooters of the year and FreeMMOStation will be in the closed beta. You could too, so don’t forget to register at the official PlanetSide 2 site.
