RF Online, the classic sci-fi MMORPG from CCR launched in 2006 and probably has a sequel in the works (thanks MMOCulture). According to a recent trademark for RF 2 by CCR, there's this game listed as “downloadable software” for various platforms, virtual reality included. Obviously this doesn't explain if it's going a PC client game only or if it will focus on mobile platforms, so we'll have to wait for an official announcement.
RF Online, or Rising Force Online shut down in North America in February 2016, when Gamescampus closed the servers.
