We haven’t heard anything substantial about Otherland for a while but now developer Drago Entertainment has put our fears to rest with the news that this sci-fi MMORPG is about to enter Early Access on Steam. The page is already available and the game will be on available starting August 26, 2015.
Otherland offers a multiverse of virtual worlds based on Tad Williams novels and has recently been through two closed beta tests, with Early Access being the final stage on the way to a full release in early 2016. Otherland saw its development canceled but the project was picked up by Drago Entertainment, resulting in a reboot of what was once one of the most ambitious MMORPGs ever created. While the scope of the project is now more intimate, as the developer is a small independent studio based in Poland, Otherland still has plenty of cool ideas and original visuals to appeal to players, including the eDNA system that allows users to collect and clone items and NPCs.
