Nexon has revealed the first details on the upcoming 100v100 PvP game Shaiya Wars, as promised a week ago. While there are still no in-game screenshots or a trailer to make a proper opinion on the game’s visuals, the character artwork clearly takes to the anime side, showing more in common with titles such as Dragon Nest, also from Nexon. There are little to no hints of the original Shaiya visual identity, although the game shares the license.
The Shaiya Wars closed beta is set to begin on October 29 and the official website has some information on the game, although you need to brush up on your Korean to learn most of it. What we could make of it is that the game is designed with simplicity of control in mind, battles are expected to be fast-paced and speedy, there are six characters so far, with the usual templates (Archer, Warrior, Assassin, Guardian, Mage and Priest) and there’s some degree of customization to the characters. The two factions are called Hellion and Athenae and initially there will be three arenas to play in (Rakar Castle, Chador Ruins and Banishment of Ice Dragon).
A gameplay trailer should be released soon and we’ll be back to show it to you.
