If you still can't get your head around the cancellation of NCsoft's promising Transformers-like shooter Project HON, then it looks like Square Enix has that covered with the announcement of Figure Heads, a mech shooter. This is a 5v5 game that is going to be free-to-play but currently is only announced for Japan. Oddly enough, the gritty metallic look of the remotely controlled mechs is completely opposite to the appearance of what is supposedly your avatar – cute anime girls, which you can customize with different clothes, hairstyles and so on.
Could this turn out to be the Exteel revival that many players have wanted for ages? More details about Figure Heads are expected tomorrow.
