In what was probably an unprecedented move, Tree of Savior closed its doors a month ago so that IMC Games could fix some issues such as server stability and client-side lag. Oh, and bots galore, but that wasn't exactly mentioned in the announcement. So while existing players could still play the game and the studio managed to ban a few thousands of accounts, new players had to sit and wait.
Now Tree of Savior is back and accepting new players for a few days already. Just how better the game is with this downtime is a good question, one that we're sure players will answer soon enough.
