Triad Wars new trailer is vibrant and violent

triad wars 2

United Front Games has released a new trailer to promote Triad Wars, the free-to-play Sleeping Dogs spin-off. The trailer shows just how diverse and quite frankly visually stunning the game looks and despite some confusion about the multiplayer mechanics that were promised – and will happen soon in the format of co-op raids -, this is still shaping up to be one of the few true triple-A F2P games.

We already played it for a while and if you want to learn more about the game, just watch our Triad Wars first look gameplay video.

Graphics are quite bad, the gameplay is very repetitive and there’s almost no player to player interaction, all clothes and cars are bought with real money or unlocked with cards which you rarely get any and if you do there’s little chance to get a vehicle or weapon. Driving around town is only to get you from your base to enemy base, no chases, no players, no events. Plus, this is exactly the same city as in Sleeping Dogs with the difference that all buildings that you could enter are now empty.

You do realize that the game is in beta and has a lot more changes before it is released, yes? That means that feedback given will be considered and the game filled out a lot more with features, quests, small furry animals, etc…

If it did, the shards would fill out pretty quick. Having seen my hubby play online multiplayer of GTAV, it can turn into a circus as people fire randomly, run around confused, screw over party members, etc… It can get rather silly. Running over pedestrians is just a given in any crime RPG.

screw over party members can happen in any game and take a look at APB Reloaded, it can have up to 100 players in one city and it’s a much smaller city, you can’t just kill everyone. It can be controlled but my point is that it should have more player interaction, such as do missions with other players or against other players
