Ultimate Naruto: free-to-play game enters open beta

Ultimate Naruto is a somewhat discrete free-to-play browser game that just entered open beta and will probably captivate many gamers, Naruto fans or not. Sign up at the official website to give it a go. Here's the official blurb:

Combining anime-based plotlines, exhilarating combat and a pure Japanese anime style, Ultimate Naruto gives players the chance to slip into the shoes of their favorite characters from the Naruto anime series and form their own path as an ultimate and powerful ninja. The faithful Naruto RPG offers players an engaging gameplay experience, fan favorite storylines, cool social options, and even a chance to raise and nurture a powerful tailed beast.

Different types of ninjas learn at different schools in the world of Ultimate Naruto; each discipline coming with its own distinctive features.

There are three schools for ninjas to choose: Secret Jutsu, Ninjutsu, and Taijutsu. Secret Jutsu ninjas have the advantage of owning an immortal body; Ninjutsu ninja's have a strong and unique understanding of all forms of ninjutsu; and Taijutsu ninja's are extremely proficient at hand-to-hand combat.

Each school accommodates both male and female practitioners, with gender specific traits available. While the male ninjas of each school are eager to show their strength and might in combat, female ninjas tend to be much stronger learners of secret techniques – making for an even battlefield no matter the match up.
