News:

Black Desert final beta live, includes cats
The third and final Black Desert Online Korean closed beta test is live and we’re there, bringing you the news and all the cool stuff about it. You can watch the videos on our channel but don’t leave us just yet; here are some nice numbers and info for you. The current beta has 50,000 players, while the previous one had around 30,000 players. Some of the improvements and additions include a pet system, an armor dyeing system, graphical improvements, a monster summon system and much more. Later this year, Black Desert is expected to enter Korean open beta. The developer is hoping to launch the North American and European betas early 2015, so rejoice, it’s not that long anymore.

Sword Art Online game coming, still not an MMO
If you’re desperately expecting a Sword Art Online MMORPG, then… keep doing just that. Here’s a new game based on the popular anime, but it’s not an MMO. Namco Bandai is developing a Sword Art Online mobile game titled Sword Art Online: Code Register, expected later this year on iOS and Android in Japan. It’s pretty much a card collecting game where players enter battles with up to 6 characters and it looks a lot like Brave Frontier, all chibi and that. The game reunites the characters from the three worlds: Sword Art Online, Alfheim Online and Gun Gale Online. So there you have it, so much potential and no MMO in sight.

Zodiac is a new RPG with Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts talent
French developer Kobojo has announced Zodiac, a beautiful online RPG created with talent from the Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts series. The Zodiac team includes ex-Final Fantasy developers such as composer Hitoshi Sakimoto and scenario writer Kazushige Nojima. The duo has worked in RPGs such as Final Fantasy VII and Final Fantasy XV, among other episodes, as well as the Kingdom Hearts series. Zodiac features some truly stunning 2D hand drawn artwork and is a persistent online RPG with turn-based battles and classic ideas from Japanese RPGs. While the game will be shown for the first time on PlayStation Vita and iOS devices, the definitive platforms still aren’t set in stone. No business model was revealed, but the previous game from the studio was the highly successful free-to-play RPG Mutants: Genetic Gladiators.

Master x Master includes popular NCsoft  characters
When NCsoft isn’t giving a crap about western players begging for Blade & Soul, the studio is working on the action shooter Master versus Master. Master versus Master is the name of a game that was previously known as Metal Black: Alternative. Think of it as NCsoft’s Heroes of the Storm: it’s a MOBA hybrid featuring heroes from the studio’s most popular franchises. For example, there are characters from Blade and Soul, Aion and Lineage. The game includes PvP and PvE modes and players will be able to pick two characters and switch between them during a match. If this one or Lineage Eternal arrives before Blade and Soul, someone at NCsoft should be fired.

‘Find the Game’ Quiz

This game is a MOBA, one of the many upcoming games of this definitely crowded genre. When will it stop? The highlight of this game is the eclectic cast that mixes historical figures with fairytale and mythology characters. The first one to write the answer in the comments will see his name featured in the next Free to Play Unlimited episode.
