Blade & Soul: Unchained update adds Warlock class
Blade and Soul’s second major update is live. Unchained is the name and the best thing about it is that it adds the Warlock class to the game. The new class Warlock is exclusive to the Jin and Lyn, uses the Razor weapon type, prefers ranged attacks and is capable of summoning a massive, demonic Thrall to finish the enemies. Floor 8 of Mushin’s Tower is also available, as well as the Naryu Labyrinth, a Heroic dungeon available in both 6- and 4-player versions. NCsoft was cool enough to give everyone a free additional character slot unlock so that you can get the new Warlock class.
Tree of Savior international beta coming soon
It was recently announced that the Tree of Savior international beta is coming soon. So what we’re getting is an announcement of an announcement, which is marketing at its finest. With all the hype surrounding Tree of Savior, developer IMC Games is at least trying to keep players updated, even if there’s nothing specific about ‘soon’. After a couple of English betas and a Korean version where a virtual hairstyle costs as much as a haircut in real life, Tree of Savior is quickly moving toward open beta. We should have more news on this in a few weeks, or as they say nowadays: soon.
TERA’s Dawnfall update is live
It’s not just Blade & Soul that is getting a new update – TERA players are also enjoying Dawnfall, which launched on March 1st. The Dawnfall update brings a revamped Island of Dawn, an area familiar to all TERA veterans which is now ridden with foul creatures and BAMs, or Big Ass Monsters. It is now a level 65 hunting ground, with an all-new storyline, daily solo and group quests. The Dreadspire dungeon is back and the Forsaken Island gets a hard mode, with deadlier versions of three of the toughest bosses ever seen in TERA. The rewards, however, are said to be worth it.
Adult MMORPG Scarlet Blade is shutting down
And now for some sad news: Scarlet Blade is going to shut down. Now, hold your tears, there are many other ways to see sexually suggestive content nowadays, it’s not the end of the world. We’re pretty sure that Scarlet Blade has attracted a whole new generation of gamers to the MMORPG genre, but that is about to end. This adult-oriented MMO is nearly three years old and shutting down by the end of this month. Known as the game that included an entire roster of exaggerated female characters and later added a male class for whatever reason, Scarlet Blade didn’t try to hide its purpose. Due to technical issues and the developer’s financial problems, the game is calling it quits.
League of Angels 2 first gameplay revealed
League of Angels 2 has opened the official website and while players are being teased with wallpapers and stuff, there is already some gameplay available. As you can see from the gameplay footage, League of Angels 2 is indeed going 3D and definitely looks better than the first game. On the other hand, it seems that both games still share the same old combat mechanics and cluttered UI that will possibly give you a migraine with all those flashy icons asking you to buy stuff. Oh well, you can’t win them all, I guess. League of Angels 2 features over 50 heroes and angels and launches sometime in 2016. The first game was very popular among a certain target, but mostly due to the suggestive angels.
‘Find the Game’ Quiz
Do you like your asymmetrical multiplayer games? You know, like Evolve? Then you probably heard about this one before it all went completely downhill. Coming from a studio known for its RPGs, this game had four heroes with special powers battling a shadowlord in modern times. Or so they wanted, as it was rebooted and almost immediately canceled. The first one to write the answer in the comments will see his name featured in the next Free to Play Unlimited episode.
Most Wanted: Cardfight!! Online
Cardfight Online is an upcoming digital card game based on Cardfight Vanguard, which includes an anime TV series and a trading card game. Cardfight Online is a free-to-play game and contrary to what we’re used to see, it’s going to release in English first. It will be available on Steam during 2016 and was in a short closed beta test in February. As usual with online card games, you’ll get to build decks and challenge other players in modes such as Free Fight, Ranking or Tournament. But the big thing with Cardfight Online is that you’ll get to play with the characters from the anime, and that alone should be appealing enough for many of you.
