Paladins: Champions of the Realm is the new competitive team-based shooter from Hi-Rez Studios, makers of the acclaimed MOBA SMITE. This game takes on classic shooter elements seen in titles such as Team Fortress 2 and adds its own twist, including card collecting mechanics that can boost a character's skills. Paladins is developed with eSports in mind and if it regularly gets new heroes just as SMITE does, this could turn into one serious contender for best shooter of 2016.
