Rogue Company is a free-to-play third person shooter developed by First Watch Games and published by Hi-Rez Studios, of SMITE and Paladins fame. The Rogue Company release date is set for 2020 on PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch, and supports cross-platform play. This means that you can play with and against your friends, no matter their platform of choice.

The developers promise that the experience will be the same in all platforms and that new content is going to be frequently released.

The Rogue Company game is at its core a team-based multiplayer shooter. You can play co-op or competitive modes, controlling an elite mercenary in different objective-based game modes. Pick your favorite weapon from a vast arsenal and fight other players in heated PvP battles. You can expect sniper rifles, pistols, shotguns, but other non-traditional weapons are also part of the game.

While each rogue comes with special abilities, the core gameplay is all about gunplay and skill. To emphasize that direction, the Rogue Company maps are designed to look nice and clean. The High Castle map, for example, features a rich design where a villa is set on the side of a mountain cliff in Italy. It's a fairly original location that looks good but also serves the purpose of providing everything that players need to fully explore the team-oriented nature of this shooter. Other two maps, Skyfell and Panama Canal also bring something new to the table; the former is set in a modern skyscraper like the ones you see in Dubai, while the latter includes a destroyed ship that you can enter and fight within.

The full Rogue Company download will be available by late 2020.
