Roller Champions Release Date, Beta, and Game Download

Roller Champions Release Date

Roller Champions is Ubisoft's unexpected take on Rollerball, the exciting cult movie that was treated to a miserable remake in the noughties. This is a futuristic 3v3 sports game where you and a couple of friends battle for possession of a ball in a game with no rules. Punches, barges, flying kicks, and more are all means to an end in this game. Speedball 2 fans will surely relate, despite the obvious differences in the arena – the various stadiums feature oval rinks, with speed and momentum being crucial to gain the upper hand. After a short open alpha in 2019, Ubisoft has already teased the Roller Champions release date. But what is coming before that?

Roller Champions Release Date Gameplay

First and foremost, is Roller Champions free to play? The answer is positive, as Ubisoft has confirmed that much when the game's surprise announcement was made. This means that it will be available to everyone, although it seems to be a PC exclusive. Furthermore, the official site only mentions Uplay, Ubisoft's digital gaming service, although a Roller Champions Steam release shouldn't be ruled out just yet.

Roller Champions has seen quite a lot of improvements since its first public showing. Ubisoft reunited with the top players of the E3 demo and gathered their feedback through several months of testing. The result is a more versatile game with added depth, including new attack moves. Besides, a lot of polish went into making this game an experience that some players are labeling as an alternative to Rocket League, if that makes any sense to you.
