Ashes of Creation: Apocalypse enters free-to-play Early Access on September 24

Ashes of Creation: Apocalypse

Ashes of Creation: Apocalypse may not be the game that many fans were expecting when they decided to kickstart the Ashes of Creation MMORPG, but it should give you an idea of the mechanics that will eventually make it into that game. You can try them for yourself starting September 24, when the game enters Early Access.

Ashes of Creation: Apocalypse will be available on Steam and via the official website, with Solos, Duos, and Squads modes for players in North America, Europe and Southeast Pacific.

With the servers persistently live, new features will be added to the game in the coming months, such as the Castle Sieges and Horde Mode. These are gameplay designs that are crucial for the Ashes of Creation MMORPG, so this is where you'll get to try it first and help improve them with your feedback.

Developer Intrepid Studios decided to develop this battle royale spin-off to test the core mechanics and polish the network infrastructure that will power Ashes of Creation, but it's obvious that it was also trying to cash-in on the popular genre. Nothing against it, of course, with other games such as PlanetSide Arena doing the same.

The Ashes of Creation: Apocalypse FAQ should tell you more about the game.
