Stunlock Studios has finally lifted the lid on Battlerite, its new team PvP arena brawler and the spiritual successor to the acclaimed Bloodline Champions. Along with the new gameplay trailer that you can watch below, the Steam page was revealed and with it comes the announcement that Battlerite is indeed going to be free-to-play at launch. Early Access, however, is scheduled for September 2016 and the official launch is likely to happen during the first quarter of 2017.

Despite showing a 2v2 battle in the trailer, Battlerite also includes 3v3 matches and battles are expected to last somewhere around 10-15 minutes. You can sign up for the beta at the official website.
