Bethesda is recruiting for “AAA freemium game”, could it be…

ZeniMax Online new MMO

Fallout Online? There, we called it! Or maybe Starfield, a game that one alleged Bethesda leaker (yes, that's a thing now) on 4Chan is saying will be announced at E3 2017, but that's probably too much of a stretch.

But let's go back to the beginning. Bethesda has a job offer for a Game Performance Manager for Montreal, asking for someone “to join the team that is pushing the bleeding-edge AAA freemium [aka free-to-play] game development.” The offer also mentions things such as “Work with the game design team on monetization design, strategy and execution”, “Envision in-game content and business model recommendations” or “Regularly review monetization strategy and performance”, among other requirements that definitely point to a free-to-play game.

Bethesda isn't new in the freemium or free-to-play market, with games such as the upcoming Quake Champions or the recently released CCG The Elder Scrolls Legends and Fallout Shelter, or even the probably canceled Battlecry. However, unless they are planning on revamping The Elder Scrolls Online as free-to-play, it all points to a new project of large scope such as an MMORPG. On the other hand, they're still sitting on the Fallout Online license rights which they gained after an intense court battle with Interplay.

What do you think this game could be?
