Black Desert Online beta sign up is live

The Black Desert Online western closed beta is coming and the sign up page is already open here. The beta begins Wednesday, December 16 at 7:00 a.m. UTC and end Tuesday, December 22 at the same time.

The Tamer class with the support of Heilang, the divine beast, will be added to the list of characters that were in the alpha (Warrior, Sorceress, Berserker, Ranger, and Wizard). This closed beta also brings the Calpheon region, including its major city with the same name.

Daum Games highlights several additions and improvements to Black Desert for this beta test, including improved character customization (30 new skin tones, 40 new hair colors, new beards, and a bald option for male characters), improved weather cycles (darker and occasionally stormy nights with lanterns to be purchased from NPCs), fully localized English text and a level cap set to 50.99% with PVP unlocked at level 30.

As you probably remember, Black Desert Online is buy-to-play in North America and Europe, despite being free-to-play in Korea and Russia, for example. The several regions are adding some fierce IP blocks as to keep players away from other regions, but you can consult the territory list of service for this version. If you want guaranteed access to the beta you can always purchase a Founder's Pack, which works pretty much as a pre-order.
