Black Desert Online Guardian class is coming soon, watch the trailer

Black Desert Online Guardian class

You may recall that Pearl Abyss recently teased the Black Desert Online Guardian class. Now we have the full details, which include the Guardian release date, as well as an overview of  her abilities.

Yes, the Guardian is a female class, but unless the devs say otherwise, we like to see her as the counterpart to the Berserker – or Giant, as it is called in Black Desert Mobile.

The Guardian is the 19th class for the fantasy MMORPG, and her release is planned for January 22, 2020. However, you'll be able to pre-register in less than a week, on December 24 to be exact.

The Black Desert Online Guardian class brings a battleaxe and a shield to the fight. As you can expect, she is a powerful melee fighter, charging on enemies and hacking away at them without repentance. Coming from the chilling mountains, she seems to be inspired by  Viking tales. Her mission is to find Ynix, the holy flame that she apparently needs to do something that involves killing gods.

In a related note, this week also saw two Black Desert classes getting her Succession skills. The Musa and the Maehwa became more versatile fighters than before.

Here are some of the Guardian's most important skills:

  • [Boulder Crush]: The Guardian smashes down her battleaxe three times with powerful, rock splitting force dealing massive damage.
  • [Mountain Slam]: The Guardian smashes the ground, causing tremors that deal damage to foes around her.
  • [Black Blood Circle]: The Guardian draws the forces of the earth into her axe to create a circle around her, enemies can enter this circle at their own peril…
  • [Mutilation]: The Guardian charges energy and sweep the foes in front of her of their feet with her battleaxe.
  • [Black Blood Slaughter]: The Guardian releases the charged energy from [Mutilation] with a powerful blast that deals a high amount of damage.
