Black Desert’s cash shop makes nearly $2 million in one week

Things are looking interesting for Black Desert Online and the free-to-play business model chosen for Korea (and hopefully for the western versions too); in just a single week, the first one of open beta, publisher DAUM has earned 2.3 billion South Korean Won, which is roughly close to $2 million USD. Pretty impressive numbers and even if there is a natural decline after the first week, there's still potential for some decent revenue, considering Black Desert has 1.5 million registered users so far.

We managed to look into Black Desert's cash shop, so you can make up your mind about what's in store (pun intended).

Wow big numberr in just one week.
I heard that in Black Desert you can gain level cap in just a few days. In my opinion thats not really that good . If im playing an mmo I would like to work hard well not too hard to gain the cap level but i would like to feel my effort its worth. Besides if thats true , then everybody who plays a few days then its all ready to lvl cap. Its not fun enymore. There s no diferece between players.

Can you or enybody confirm if thats true ? I hoe its not and if it is I hope they will change that in the north america and eu release !!!

I can’t say for sure, but I think you can do that in a few days right now, but that’s playing a lot. I wouldn’t worry though, because there’s a lot to do in the game and leveling for the sake of it is missing a lot of the fun. I’m sure it will get much more content though between now and the western release.

I’ve been playing the game for a while now. It definitely is faster compared to other MMOs I’ve played in the past and for a casual gamer it might take around ~2 weeks to reach the cap. But there’s so much more to the game than just aiming for the max level. The housing system, merchanting and just wandering around is a big part of the game as well.
