Cliff Bleszinski’s Boss Key Productions (Radical Heights) is closing

Radical Heights battle royale

Boss Key Productions is closing its doors today, Cliff Bleszinski has just announced via Twitter. The studio founded four years ago by the Gears of War creator failed to sustain itself and is no more.

Boss Key’s closure comes little over a month since Radical Heights was announced, and the studio's take on the popular Battle Royale genre was interesting but extremely rough at the moment. It was their try to overcome the failure of hero shooter LawBreakers, a game of undeniable quality that failed to find a decent player base – maybe because it had a price tag, contrary to what was announced earlier in development? Or because games such as Blizzard's Overwatch cannibalized the genre? You decide.

Cliff's tweet about Boss Key Productions' closure is below:

Both Radical Heights and LawBreakers are available on Steam for the time being, but obviously they won't get any additional support and could disappear in the blink of an eye. Best of luck for everyone at Boss Key.
