Crytek’s Hunt: Showdown gameplay to be revealed during E3

Hunt Showdown gameplay video

A couple of weeks ago, Crytek brought Hunt: Horrors of the Gilded Age from the dead and revealed a new, revamped game now called Hunt: Showdown. This game still remained very mysterious, but one thing was clear: the previous four-player co-op concept was ditched in favor of only two hunters in the new version.

Now, Crytek is promising to show the first ever Hunt: Showdown gameplay during E3 2017, which is taking place in Los Angeles from June 13-15. It will be a very select showing but you can bet that the footage will be available everywhere in the blink of an eye.

Hunt: Showdown is going on a different direction from what was planned with the previous development team and while info is still slim, we know that Crytek is calling this game something as “PvP monster hunter” – as in you hunt monsters, not to be confused with Capcom's Monster Hunter series. A new artwork was also revealed and you can see it below.

Hunt: Horrors of the Gilded Age was announced as a free-to-play game, but there's no confirmation that Hunt: Showdown will also be free, so we're waiting for Crytek to spill the beans on the business model. You can sign up for updates at the official website.
