Dystopian sandbox game The Tomorrow Children is now free on PS4

The dystopian and straight up weird sandbox game The Tomorrow Children is free-to-play on PlayStation 4 as of today. After an early access phase that began on September 6, it is now out there for everyone to try. Developed by Q-Games of Pixeljunk series fame, The Tomorrow Children is a Minecraft-esque MMO set in a Soviet Union-themed post-apocalyptic dystopia. The theme may not appeal to everyone, but you can't blame it for not being original.

To emphasize the weirdness of the game, some examples of player activities have been revealed: a strange sea of letters, a 3D platformer-like play with the trampolines, group picnics in the void, human ladders (when a player kneels and another player kneels on top of them and so on and so on until they are a strange human chain of kneeling clones leading up into the sky), or simply trying to stack boxes as high as they will go.

The launch also comes with a bonus costume for those who login between October 26 and November 2. A Frontier Pack is now available (the price wasn't disclosed) and it includes the Bourgeoisie papers, Lv1. Arms License, Lv1. Tools License, EagleCorp Jetpack, 3 avatars and 500 Freeman dollars.
