Former Elder Scrolls designers at OnceLost Games are creating an open-world RPG

OnceLost Games

OnceLost Games is a new indie studio founded by former developers having worked on The Elder Scrolls series. Its key staff has worked on Arena, Daggerfall, Morrowind, Oblivion, and Lord of the Rings: Online. Oh, and Spyro the Dragon as well.

The studio is planning to make a big announcement by the end of the year, which is surely going to include details on the game they are working on. It is described as a “massive open-world fantasy adventure, and will boast revolutionary technology and game design by some of the most celebrated veterans of computer gaming.”

While there is nothing pointing to this RPG actually having an MMO side to it, this shouldn't be entirely ruled out. Some players are already asking the studio to avoid a subscription-based model, while others are hoping that it's not an MMORPG, so who knows what it will turn out to be.

We'll surely know more about OnceLost Games' debut title in a few months.
