Fractured Space is entering maintenance mode, aka “no more updates”

Fractured Space is entering maintenance mode

These are tough times for space combat simulators. First it was Dreadnought that failed to achieve success and now it's Fractured Space that is entering maintenance mode. This means that developer Edge Case Games won't release any more updates for the game. The servers will remain online for the foreseeable future, and the game will be playable for the time being.

Infection will be the last update for Fractured Space, with Edge Case Games focusing on new projects from then on. This update will only cost 1 Credit to purchase and all Steam DLC will no longer be available for purchase.

“It's been an amazing and emotional journey, we wouldn't be anywhere without our incredible players – you've been awesome to us. We thank you for all the support over the years, and for the fantastic memories we'll hold dear to us for the rest of our lives. And remember, we always had Gamma.”

While Fractured Space was a pretty decent game, same as Dreadnought, it was a niche theme and failed to convince a large player base.
