Genshin Impact PC and Mobile release date was pushed forward

Genshin Impact PC and Mobile release date

Chinese developer miHoYo just dropped some good news on us. The Genshin Impact PC and mobile release date was pushed forward, which means that we won't have to wait until the end of the year to play this anticipated open world anime action RPG. Currently in its final closed beta, which includes the PlayStation 4 version – but Nintendo Switch still remains out of the picture -, Genshin Impact already features a sprawling world with two main cities and nearly 100 hours of gameplay in its actual state.

The news was shared via Facebook, with everyone's favorite sidekick and emergency food Paimon saying the following:

“Genshin Impact releasing on iOS/Android/PC before October. That's right! Genshin Impact will officially open its doors on iOS/Android/PC platforms before October! Travelers will then be able to freely visit the continent of Teyvat to start an adventure of their own. Remember to stay tuned to announcements from our official channels for the exact release date!”

As for the Genshin Impact PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch release dates, nothing is mentioned. We'll have to believe that console players will get to play this anime RPG by late 2020 or early 2021.

This is a game that is bound to grow with frequent content updates, just as it happens with the studio's other big game, Honkai Impact 3rd. However, it is already in a very playable and polished state, and the team considered that there was no reason why we couldn't play it sooner than expected. While the aim is to have seven main cities, there are nearly 20 playable characters to recruit and tons of quests, and side quests, with limited time events also in the plans, so it makes sense.

On a related note, Paimon also said that there is going to be another PlayStation 4 closed beta test starting July 30. It is only open to players who have applied for the final closed beta and live in North America and South America.

What do you think of the new Genshin Impact PC and Mobile release date? That's definitely a good way to start the day, right?
