You can get the amazing platformer Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair free today from the Epic Games Store. Released in October 2019 to considerable critical acclaim, Playtonic's second Yooka-Laylee game is the masterpiece that the first game failed to be.

Considered a lovable tribute to the classic Donkey Kong Country platformers, Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair mixes platform action with puzzles. Despite its 2.5D side-scrolling prominence, there are top-down sections set in the Overworld that is a pleasure to explore and solve.

While this game is available in various retailers including the Epic Games Store and Steam, it seems to be mostly commercially ignored, at least judging by the figures from the latter – Steamcharts shows a disheartening number of players since its release a couple of months ago, so let's hope it was more successful in other digital storefronts.
