Hardcore Henry is first-person shooter: the movie

This isn't exactly gaming news, but if there's one movie that looks like a game then it has to be Hardcore Henry, an exciting thrill ride that is inspired by first-person shooters. Hardcore Henry is entirely in first-person view and has plenty of crazy action stunts that will remind you of many games, but one that comes to mind – minus the perspective – is Max Payne. If there's one movie to give you motion sickness this is the one and while it premieres in April, the first reactions in RottenTomatoes and IMDB are very positive.

Hardcore Henry has a few decent actors either, such as Tim Roth, Sharlto Copley and Haley Bennett. Yes, it's Haley Bennett and not Jennifer Lawrence (mostly of Hunger Games fame) as we were initially led to believe due to the likenesses between the two actresses. We're excited for this movie and while the action bits look impressive, we're curious about seeing the story and dialogue unfold right in front of our eyes as if we are the protagonist. Oh, and there's also a glimpse of a first-person sex scene – it had to be done, no doubt. Besides a few minutes in the movie Doom and probably some shorts and unknown movies, there hasn't been a regular use of first-person in movies and Hardcore Henry could be the one to begin a trend. That is, unless the audience throws up all the time.

Hardcore Henry was created thanks to the success of Biting Elbows' ‘Bad Motherfucker' music video, which you can watch here – definitely do watch it, it's a great teaser for Hardcore Henry.
