Great news for everyone who was looking forward to Hyper Universe, Nexon's original and exciting side-scrolling MOBA featuring some characters inspired by pop culture such as Bruce Lee and the Power Rangers. This game enters open beta today on Korea, which means that if you already own a Nexon Korea account, you can try it out as it isn't IP blocked.
The Hyper Universe open beta brings three new characters (Hongduk, Mugenhardt and Olga), some alternate skins and a launch even where players are given 30 coins with one additional event coin added per minute, which can be used to obtain in-game currency, among other things. No news on a western release so far, which is a shame as Hyper Universe is, along with NCSoft's Master X Master, one of the most inventive MOBAs of recent years.
