Is Figureheads releasing in English and on Steam?

Square-Enix's latest mech shooter game Figureheads is about to enter open beta early March in Japan and while this isn't the most likely game to get a western release, Steparu thinks is on to something. While browsing the game files he discovered that some Steam files were included as well as a localization folder with several languages, including English.

This could mean nothing in itself, but we can make some considerations out of this find: either Square Enix was planning to launch an English version on Steam, or Square Enix IS planning to do so. Let's see how this goes.
