Knives Out is the latest Battle Royale contestant, now out on PC

If you're still unsure about which Battle Royale game you're going to spend the next couple of years playing, here is more fuel to the fire. Chinese giant NetEase has just released the PC version of Knives Out, a new game initially launched on mobile devices. Just like Fortnite Battle Royale, Paladins Battlegrounds and H1Z1 (now, at least), Knives Out is free to download and play. Sorry, Playerunknown's Battlegrounds, too much free stuff to choose from.

According to NetEase, Knives Out already has over 200 million registered players, so the PC version should add to that number. It is closer to PUBG than it is to Fortnite Battle Royale visually, as it features “realistic” characters and environments. Of course, Knives Out's mobile origins are clear and the game is a bit lacking in the graphics department, and the UI is obviously made for mobile.

I'm betting that Knives Out won't have the same success on PC as it is potentially having on mobile, and it's more of a case of trying to get a piece of the battle royale cake before it's all gone. Considering that Fortnite Battle Royale and PUBG are also on mobile right now, things are bound to change.

Anyway, if the prospect appeals to you, give Knives Out a try and let us know what you think of it.
