League of Legends anime, card game, and mobile version may be in the works

League of Legends anime

It's shaping up to be quite the 10th anniversary for League of Legends. Riot Games is reportedly working on a League of Legends anime, a League of Legends card game, and a League of Legends version for mobile devices, with all of these bound to be confirmed today.

This isn't the first time that we hear about a League of Legends card game, with echoes of Legends of Runeterra springing into mind. Industry insider and eSports figure Rod Breslau seems to be pretty sure of this, claiming that he has sources telling him that the LoL card game will be announced today.

There was a lot of speculation a while ago that Riot Games could be working on a League of Legends MMO, but that doesn't appear to be the case. However, it's a given fact that Riot is also working on a fighting game, with the studio previously responsible for Radiant Entertainment in charge of the development.

League of Legends Mobile

Other rumors are pointing to League of Legends Mobile, with Breslau having something more substantial to show for it: LoL Mobile pre-registration links in China and Brazil were briefly live before they were taken down by Riot. Obviously, the Internet has no secrets and the news were out for good.

It's not surprising to see that Riot Games is finally about to get League of Legends on mobile. In fact, this is long overdue considering the amount of LoL clones on mobile and the lack of the real thing. Reportedly, there was some tension between Tencent and Riot surrounding this subject, as the former wanted a mobile LoL, while the latter didn't seem to enthusiastic about the idea.

Finally, there is a League of Legends anime reportedly under development. This is the third LoL leak by Breslau and it sounds like something that is bound to happen, as Riot fires in all cylinders to reinvigorate its famous IP. Now all that is lacking is that League of Legends MMORPG.
