Long-running MMORPG Dark Age of Camelot is finally getting a free-to-play option

Dark Age of Camelot

One of the longest-running 3D MMORPGs is finally about to get a free-to-play version. Dark Age of Camelot: Endless Conquest is the name of the new release that is coming in the latter half of October.

Dark Age of Camelot is a subscription-based medieval MMORPG that was released on… *checks notes*… October 2001. Endless Conquest will be available on both Ywain and Gaheris and is free to access by every player, although there are some noteworthy limitations for those who don't want to upgrade to a Veteran subscription. The most important one is the inability to use or place a house, nor entering a personal or guild house.
