A few days ago, Nexon and Electronic Arts teased a new game reveal and many players were hoping it would be a new MMO. Considering that both developers have quite a few MMOs under their wing, this could be something interesting. However, it's far from what we were expecting.
Turns out the new game from this joint venture is FIFA Online 4 (thanks MMOCulture). Portuguese star and top world player Cristiano Ronaldo is the face of the game, and this new version was built based on five years of player feedback on FIFA Online 3.
FIFA Online 4 runs on a “next-generation engine” (your guess is as good as ours) and uses motion capture to recreate player movement and celebrations. A lot of thought went to the creation of the stadium interiors and exteriors.
FIFA Online 4 enters closed beta in South Korea next month and the official launch is planned to happen before the World Cup 2018 in Russia. We're betting that FIFA Online 4 won't make it to western territories, as this series is mostly aimed at the Asian market.
