SMITE’s new cinematic is absolutely amazing

I don't know about you, but I just love some good old slow-motion in my CGI trailers, as long as it's done properly. That's exactly what you'll get in the new SMITE cinematic trailer To Hell & Back, which Hi-Rez Studios released to celebrate the start of the second edition of the SMITE World Championship (SWC) this coming Thursday. This absolutely stunning trailer includes some familiar faces such as Bellona, Neith or Loki and some nerve-wrecking action in nearly four minutes of footage.

The SMITE World Championship is taking place at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre in Atlanta, USA, from Thursday 7th of January until Sunday 10th of January and will see the best pro-players from around the world fight it out for their share of a prize pool of $1 million. The event will also see the SMITE on Xbox One Invitational where for the first time four teams are battling for a $150,000 prizepool on the console version.

Hi-Rez will broadcast its keynote address on Thursday at 16:00 GMT / 17:00 CET via http://www.twitch.tv/smitegame, which will include several announcements for SMITE, Hi-Rez’s all-new FPS, Paladins, and the studio’s upcoming mobile game, Jetpack Fighter. The twitch channel will also be used to broadcast live all the action happening at SWC later on.
