Star Trek Online’s next major update was just announced by Cryptic Studios and Perfect World Entertainment. Star Trek Online: Rise of Discovery is once again based off the CBS television series, Star Trek: Discovery and will launch on PC May 14 and later on consoles.
Rise of Discovery brings new missions featuring Captain Gabriel Lorca (voiced by Jason Isaacs – Lucius Malfoy from the Harry Potter films) and Commander Ellen Landry (voiced by Rekha Sharma – Battlestar Galactica, Alien vs Predators: Requiem). The update also introduces a new Tier 6 reputation, – Discovery Legends – which allows players to earn Discovery themed rewards by completing Task Force Operations.
